De Faun

De Faun was a popular historic restaurant in Groningen, which was later changed to a clothing store. Kunstcentrum de Ploeg wanted to create an immersive experience to let people experience the restaurant again, during their exposition 'Stad van De Ploeg', showing works of various Groninger artists.

In this work, we recreated the scene and created a digital experience with period-correct persons walking throughout the digital scene. A waitress will come up to the visitor and will interactively ask what they would like to drink. Their order is forwarded to the front desk of the museum, allowing the visitor to enjoy their order at the cafeteria.
